Shoe for "Sinterklaas"

Last Saturday"Sinterklaas"(Santa Claus) has arrived in the Netherlands. From now on till his name day (the 5th of December), children in the Netherlands put one of their shoes in front of the fire, with something for "Sinterklaas" or his horse in their shoes, so hopefully overnight they receive something from "Sinterklaas". So did Lisa, hopefully she finds something in here boot tommorow. On the 5th of december we celebrate his name day with gifts.

Mummy Lisa

Lisa finds herself a very big girl when she helps mama. She also likes to be a 'mother' for Bridget. Here she is feeding Bridget.

Saint Martin's day

Today is a big day, tonight all children go with their paper laterns into the neighbourhood to sing a song for a sweet. That's because it's Saint Martin's day. Lisa made a nice paper latern at the creche and learned a few Saint Martin's day songs as well. Around 5 o'clock in the evening, it's time to start, with Mama she goes by the doors in the neighbourhood. After 45 minutes Lisa thinks enough is enough, the back-pack is filled with sweets so we go home.

First tooth

Finally, Bridget got a first tooth (rightunder). It was bothering her for a while and today it broke through. We can feel the one beside it (leftunder) as well.

Oma Roelie's birthday

Yesterday, it was oma Roelie's birthday, so we stayed there for the whole weekend. Of course that was great fun for the girls. We took only a few pictures, but here's a chearful one of Bridget.

Bedtime

Just before going to sleep, papa or mama reads a story. Lisa has a lot of Dora books, so a choice is easily made. The books are very interactive, so getting ready for sleeping is not on. Actually, after the story being told by papa or mama, Lisa makes up her own Dora story. For the record, after this Lisa always sleeps in very easily.

Crawling

Bridget is making a lot of effort to move. She found out that on the knees and the tummy from the floor, it goes a lot easier. Practice makes perfect, see the pictures.

In the push-car

We've got some things from Lisa from the attic, for example this push-car. Bridget loves as you can see.

It also brought back some memories to Lisa as you can see below ;-o

Teething?

Today, Bridget has a bit of a temperature. Actually, the last few days she hasn't been topfit. Are the first teeth finally arriving?

Sitting

Sittin is great fun. Since a few weeks Bridget sits very steady on her own. Besides lying on her back and tummy this is also a nice position to play.

Goats farm

This evening both Lisa and Bridget made a little trip with the creche, to a goats farm. They do this every year, for Lisa a big pleasure.Beside the goats, there is also a playground. The children can feed the goats as well.

After playing and feeding the goats, it is time for an icecream..

Growing (part three)

Today, Bridget visited the child care clinic. She has grown a lot, she has gained two pounds in two months. She weighs just over 18 pounds now and is 27,5 inches long.

Summerday in the autumn

The summer hasn't left yet, although the autumn has started yesterday, it's still lovely.Today, we went to see opa Piet and oma Roelie. We sat in the garden and we made a little trip with the boat. Maurice, Agnes en Bas were present as well.

In the buggy

Today, Bridget is sitting in the buggy for the very first time, The pram of the Quinny is too small now. Of course it is nice to view the world in a vertical way, I think she likes it.

Playing

Bridget plays on a rug on the ground now and again. This means more space to roll. Most of the times Lisa is around very quickly and plays under the babygym for the second time ;-)

Rolling

Since 7 weeks Bridget is rolling from her back on het tummy. Today she has decided it is time to roll back on her back if she is fet up with lying on her tummy. For her a milestone, but for us as well!!

Sisters

Out and about

Today is a nice day and thats why Lisa ,Bridget and mama went for a walk while papa cleans the house. Lisa took her bicycle and mama pushed Bridget in her pram. First passing the new school ( Lisa will go to school here when she turns 4). This is Lisa's favourite playground as she likes to "sell french fries from the house ", loves to climb the net and go down the slide. In the meantime Bridget has fallen asleep in her pram.




On the way home we pass the other playground where Lisa wants to go on the swing. After that we're going home to papa for sandwiches.
